Take Your Time

...to do, to be, to think, to feel anything you want to.

...to have complete control over your life.

Never let anyone tell you differently.

Sometimes learning more about yourself when times are tough and even when times are good, is the best "medicine" for your soul. Find friends, books, and self-tests that help you develop a better picture of who you are and what you want out of life can only improve your life. The greater understanding and strength you feel in your likes, dislikes, etc. the more you will find yourself making decisions that you feel certain about and have given proper time and thought to.

There are many books that will help successfully steer you toward the right career path. I Could Be Anything: If I Only Knew What It Was is a book that can help you develop a deeper understanding of what truly love career-wise. In Falling in Love For All The Right Reasons: How to Find Your Soul Mate, Dr. Neil Clark Warren, founder of eHarmony takes you through a journey to find the love of your life. And, in The 28 Laws of Attraction: Stop Chasing Success and Let it Chase You, Thomas J. Leonard gives you plenty of self-test lists to help assess how well you are taking care of yourself and the things that are most important in life.

For immediate help in understanding more about yourself, the internet is filled with a wide array of personality tests. Some are light and fun in nature, while others offer extensive, comprehensive analysis and often charge a fee for the results. HumanMetrics offers a Jung Typology test. It is based on the Carl Jung and Myers-Briggs typology tests.

I once read that everyone is doing the very best they can given where they came from and their experiences. I truly believe this with all my heart. So, be kind to yourself. You will make mistakes sometimes in life. But if you learn from them and your intentions are good, you will never have to worry. Others will know this and you will be surrounded by the very best angels in this world.

Taking Care of Yourself

Recently I read an invaluable book called "The 28 Laws of Attraction: Stop Chasing Success and let it Chase You." It is wonderful and it reminds you that "everything is important" (Brian Tracy, self-made millionaire) - truly.

Never let anyone tell you differently.

Work hard, persevere and make all your dreams a reality.

Best wishes to all.

Secrets to Impossible Dreams

As an avid book reader, I do my very best to always have a new, great book on hand to easily delve into. Not only does it refine my writing skills, it opens my mind and imagination to greater realms of happiness and success.

Yesterday, I started reading "Simple Steps to Impossible Dreams: The 15 Power Secrets of the World's Most Successful People" by Steven K. Scott who is the author of "A Millionaire's Notebook".

So far, this book is remarkable and exactly what I need right now. To illustrate the theme that anyone can become successful, he shares stories about many classic underachievers who went on to create incredible dreams. He even shares his own story and how he failed at his first 7 or 8 jobs where he was making less than $1500/month only to go forward and make millions on his writing career.

I am drawn toward anything and everything that can lift me up, inspire and help me reach all my goals. This book not only lays down practical approaches and logical understanding as to why you have not reached your goals yet, it also gives end-of-chapter exercises that will ensure you not only meet your dreams head on, but helps you realize that you have limitless potential within your reach at this very moment.

If you decide to read it, I hope it is as helpful to you as it has been to me thus far.

For Wine & Book Lovers

If you are an avid wine lover and share an appreciation for unique, comical literature, you will most likely be amused by the novel Sideways written by Rex Pickett. Incidentally, Sideways was also made into a movie, from the director of About Schmidt. In my opinion, I do believe that the book was much better than the movie... How Often Do You... Book Exercise?

What are your favorite types of books to read? Do you love mystery, romance, non-fiction or maybe you don't have a particular favorite?

Do you set aside time to read? Do you wish you had more time to read? Or, maybe this sounds familiar: read, uh...do street signs count?

Whatever your love of books is - reading does more than offer you entertainment and recreation.

Reading stimulates the mind in ways that the television cannot. It allows your mind to envision and imagine scenarios, characters, etc; offering you a mental, natural "high". The more you read, the more you strengthen your mental and verbal skills. In addition, studies have shown that the more you learn and vary your daily activities, the more you ensure the longevity of your overall mental health for limitless years to come.

In the same way that your body needs physical exercise to stay strong and healthy, so too does your mind.

So, what are you waiting for? Pick up a book, today!
